In a horse constellation we use the innate wisdom of horses to help us better understand ourselves. Horses are master teachers of energy alchemy, presence, emotional agility, connection and they offer support for healing and growth.

What is a Horse Constellation?

A horse constellation combines systemic Family Constellation Work, developed by psychologist Bert Hellinger, with the benefits of Equine Facilitated Learning and Equine Assisted Therapy.

It is a therapeutic, alchemical Inquiry process. It is an opportunity to receive clarity and attune to truth.

The German translation of constellation is “position”. The key principles of the constellation work are inclusion, belonging, equilibrium, reciprocity and orders of love within a system. In order to survive, horses must belong to the collective.

They exist in a matriarchal hierarchy with clear and specific dynamics within the herd. Family structures, intra-personal systems, and creative systems such as artists slates, also function in this way.

Horses have an electromagnetic field around their hearts that is five times larger than humans.

Coming into contact with this energy generates a state of peace and helps us tune not only to the parasympathetic response of rest and digest in our nervous system, but also to the truth that resides in the heart. They invite and inspire us on the path of living and leading from the heart.

The horses invite us to respect and trust somatic knowledge and to tap into the collective intelligence of the herd/ tribe and the creator force field— the unified field of life and creation itself. Horse constellations serve as an a reflection of our inner entanglements and patterns that often go unrecognized, unnoticed, or unacknowledged.

Coupling constellation work with the wisdom of horses enables us to inquire and research what is creating any entanglements, blocks or interferences to the flow of love in the system. Through acknowledging these patterns, we can then clear the interference and open to the flow of love and life force within ourselves within, families, organizations, and the greater collective system of humanity at large. The purpose of this work is to bring us into healthier relationship with ourselves, each other and ultimately with the natural world and the web of life.
